July 4-5th edit:
Fireworks kicked ass, Transformers kicked ass. 'Nuff said.
--------
America is gonna be celebrating its Independce day in a couple days, which means explosives! Heh heh. So Happy 4th of July for everyone here in the U.S., and umm..."Happy I Give You Permission to Light Explosives" day or something for everyone else. >.> (well not really, I mean I won't defend you in court or anything so don't take my word as validation)
From the Transformers movie to the actual festivities, there's going to be quite a few things to look forward to this year. I don't think I'll be catching the midnight showing (here) of Transformers, since we'd have to get up pretty early after, but I'll be going tomorrow (Tue) hopefully.
I'm also experimenting with a new style of art. I'm going to be putting fire crackers in pools of paint and splattering them on a canvas. Ninya and I got the idea from an episode of Myth Busters where they tried to see if they could cover a room by submerging dynamite in a can of paint. Needless to say it didn't work, but they commented they thought they did come up with a new way to do abstract art. ...and of course I decided I needed to try it! Cause...it's actually a cool idea...and...there's exploding things involved. ^ ^;;
Happy fires everyone!

If you're looking for an interesting read, you should check out the comic Lizzy. It's a Flash comic, and the animations are subtle but really great. I'd love to do something like that with a comic if I had the time.
Anyway, It's pretty mature, (Some sexual themes, post-apocolyptic killing, dark themes, etc) but it's a pretty interesting story. The site's a little confusing to navigate, but the comic itself is great. If you like the dark apocolyptic type of stuff, you should check it out.

The reason the comic was not up on Monday was because Adyon was with me and my family mourning the loss of my Grandfather. In tribute to his memory, I'd would just like to tell you all about him, he is the first of my relatives to join the "dearly departed".
Ed Parsley was born May 18, 1937 , and died June 24, 2007 . He had a loving wife and six children, also twelve grandchildren. He graduated from OPSU (our college) with a degree in Biology (my major) and began his own business, which he successfully owned for 37 years. My Granddad loved kids, and coached girl's softball for the Kids Inc. program. He also literally built the Kids Inc.Gym (almost single handedly), a local youth sports association. This gym was officially named in tribute for him today.
My Granddad died of Parkinson's disease, which he had been living with for about six years now. He passed in his sleep Sunday morning seconds after my Grandmother kissed him on the head for the last time. (which was very fitting I thought)
Sorry to bore the person who actually read all that, but I felt it had to be said. My Granddad was one of the kindest men in this world, and heaven is a better place now that he's there.
