Previous | Rant Archives | Next Different Schedule Next Week October 1st Update: Okay...seems things aren't going my way. I've been unable to have the internet. The basics is that there won't be a main comic this week. There will be next week, though it'll be the new first page mentioned below. I wanted to post that this week, but besides the internet being down, I really didn't have the time to finish the comics anyway, considering I was pretty much moving every moment for the past few days...I'm exhausted. >< (And we're just IN the house...not organized.) At least I'm done sanding the floors. That was the worst. I'll still be gone pretty much every day this week except for Wednesday and Thursday. After this week, the comics should get back to normal. To the point, for the next couple weeks, I will have almost no time at all to work on the comics. We're going to be moving all this week. Our new house should be closing Wednesday, and after that I need to be in by Sunday as we HAVE to be out of our apartment by next Sunday. In that time, I need to have sanded the floors (hardwood floors), then totally stain and refinish them, as well as paint the ceiling before we move our stuff in. Ninya is also helping her mother move and put on a garage sell Thu-Fri-Sat so that'll need time too. The side comics will be posted as normal and there will be an extra Chibi on Monday, assuming we have internet as it may not be connected yet. I can't say what'll happen with the main comic. It'll depend if I get any time at ALL. I'll be gone most of next week too, on a trip to Santa Fe for a Humanities class and a check-up for the other part of the week. But if I do get the main comic done, it will be a lack-luster update, as it will be the new first page. It's basically a pre-ludeish thing I planned to put on, as the comic needed it to feel right at the beginning, but I wanted to wait til I had the pages drawn with the scenes and...well you'll see. But it won't continue anything so it may not interest as many people. So, I will be posting the LotP comic as usual, since Ninya already has a couple finished and it's only minor editing. Also the Chibi is simple enough too, especially since I'll be posting a friend's fanart work. More on that at posting too. Resident Evil: Extinction The third (possibly last?) Resident Evil film was oustanding really! Like a lot of things, it's not going to change the world of movies as we know it, but it's well executed, manages to expand on itself well without re-hashing the same formula but while remaining true to its movie roots, and is a lot of fun to watch. I can't get behind people complaining when it doesn't stay to the games. It'd be boring to me if it did. I want it to be another part of the R.E. universe, a unique, interesting story. Also I can't get when critics just write it off as a game movie, when it doesn't just follow the games. They should do their homework if they want me to take them seriously. Really the big breaker for me will be if they make another one. They really do need to for this to be fufilling. Of course the next one would need to live up to what I'd want to see too. It's just that if there's not something huge coming like it felt like, then they should have found a way to work it in to this movie. I'd say there would be too many loose ends to feel complete if there wasn't though. Background Painting Video
If you guys want, you can check out me painting part of this background. I hope it's entertaining. It was done live, evident by me playing music. I got the urge to record myself for a few minutes for some reason. I've thought about doing it before, but I don't have the best software. I hope you can see most of what's going on. In the future I'll look up some better program to use, but for now it works I guess. Parental Control Parental control is gotta be the most fake looking show ever. Obviously scripted, and many people online have seen the same actors on other MTV shows. The worst part is the fact that every episode plays out the same way. Of course, it's common knowledge that a lot of MTV's design is completely structured towards 13 year old girls. I'm not being derogatory. That's really what they're aiming towards. Moving Day Wow, it's been an unusually long time since my last rant.even for me. A lot's been going on in our lives since last I wrote. For example, for the last five weeks I've been helping my mother box up, throw out and garage sell almost everything in her house, including my old bedroom. My mom is making her "big move" Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday.and so forth until we are out of our old house. That, my friends, is a BIG job. Also, assuming the girls renting the house we bought decide to move their respective buttocks (they had 30 days notice 37 days ago) Ady and I will be able to move into our new house by the end of the month. I'm very excited about having a car-port and spare bedroom again. ^_^;;;;; OrAnIMe --------- I needed to type something new. =P I'm going to try and set up where the rants can be viewed in an archives fashion instead of under every comic. Actually, I need to do a lot with the site. I've thought about leaving it as is, as the name may give things away here in a few pages a little early, but hey. I don't think it should matter too much. My Car's Jinxed Seriously...it is. It's now been in two accidents in a month. Neither of which was my fault. =P (which technically is good) Not even a month ago, Ninya and I were coming back from a wedding and two miles out of town a black lab came running out onto the highway and seriously messed up my car. (About $3500 to fix, though don't worry, I AM insured) And tonight, some guy on a motorcycle was visiting some family in our apartements and accidentily ran into the back end of my car. If my car's going to get into accidents I'm glad that it's nothing stupid I'm doing that'll jump my insurance up, but dang...it really is jinxed. Meeper's Blind Date I've taken some Maya classes. I'll hopefully have a finished animation with my own models soon, but I decided I'd upload the unfinished practice animation I did a while back using other people's models. Her final line of the animation would be "Eh, I've had worse." That's really the only part I need to explain for the animation to make sense. There's still a lot of other things unfinished about it besides the lack of sound, but if you want to know what they are, just read the info beside the video. (If it's not obvious of course) The Meeper model is copywright to Sony Imagework, and the Kila model is copywrighted to Anthony Ward. Thoughts on Fanservice Since some people haven't seen the original, although most have, here is the original It's Peanut Butter Jelly Time. And here is the Family Guy Version that Ninya is so fond of and was doing in the comic. Anyway, The Chibi has reached the top level of fanservice shown in any comic I believe. Hopefully it's as funny as I thought it was at the time. I debated whether I should let the comic get too showy, but in the end I decided since the comic is already pretty mature in its general theme, it would be fine. But as for this Chibi, yeah, Ninya started dancing around singing that song randomly like that. She's made a habbit of singing it too, though not necesarily in her underwear all the time. I still think it's sexy either way. =P But the feeling of the sexyness just didn't seem to work without it, since without animation, I can't draw her actual sexy dancing, which is partially the point. So, that's why she's just in her underwear. I still am against putting in pointless fanservice, like seen in some animes with the cheesy camera angles or girls clothes that randomly get blown off when they're fighting. But I've decided I won't avoid things if I think they belong or can make things funnier. Do I enjoy drawing Ninya in sexy pictures? Well yeah, of course I do. I won't deny it. She's just so beautiful I can't help it. I've always been obsessed with the human figure though, even in traditional arts. The way the body bends and moves intrigues me. |
