Previous | Rant Archives | Next Christmas Break Seems I'm still running behind comic-wise, but no real excuses. I'll just say, "I was enjoying my Christmas with my family" and leave it at that. But the holiday was good...and fun. Really, it was a fairly good one considering so many complex family (etc) issues happening (of which I won't go into since they don't even concern me directly). I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas, and I wish everyone a Happy New Year! Octovir is a Man Among Men My tablet is fixed!! I wasn't sure if I could properly solder my USB cable myself, and I didn't want to risk trying for the first time on something that small with my "costly" tablet. But my friend "Octovir" was able to solder it nicely, and thus, there's a comic this week. Albeit, it's not quite on time, but I'll get it finished by Monday evening, so close enough considering the problem with my tablet. I'll put up a comic for Christmas, though anyone who's been around for long...will have already seen it. I removed it a while back and have yet to add it back, and this seems like an appropriate time. Aaron is Crying Twin Waterfalls Minus the Excel Saga reference in the title, this is no joke. My tablet cable was cut/chewed through (we're not sure which). The comic you see now is where I was at when it died. Some unfinished messed up shapes of a background, and basically a readable comic. I'm not sure what this will mean for next week or what. I'm going to see if I can somehow get the wire soldered back together. I really hope it works, or if not I'll have to send it off back to Wacom for them to repair it, which takes time AND like $75-100. Dammit, this couldn't have happened WHILE I was busy with finals and didn't have the time to work anyway! Update on Finals Thought I'd just post a quick tidbit to say I am still finishing up the semester, so that's why the comics aren't being fully finished. I'll go in and finish them after classes end. I'm drawing closer to my actual finals, a week from next Tuesday to be exact. I've got a bunch of things that I have to turn in this Tuesday, then it's all downhill as I study for my Ancient Mexico/Peru art history final. 1st Grad School Finals Well, it's here again...finals. Grad school may even be more hectic than my undergrad work was. None-the-less, I'm about 4 weeks off, and most of my stuff is oil paintings that have to been done in about a week, then a few other projects ahead of finals. I was thinking of putting the comic on hiatus, but instead, I thought I'd just post the lineart and come back after finals to do all the coloring. Better than nothing? I hope. Holy Crap I'm Stupid Only just now as I'm posting this page, I realize how confusing it's going to be. >.< I've had the story of the comic written into my head for so long (and we've been updating so slow...which is my fault) that I forgot I've never changed the beginning to accurately reflect the overall flow of the comic. I'm very sorry for those of you who've stuck with me as I've had to redo the beginning of the comic from the random junk I originally threw out into an actual designed story, and this is more of it. There's not much introduction to the "Mysterious Figure" as there should be, as it's supposed to be seen first in the re-write at the beginning (which I've failed to finish yet too). Luckily, I can quickly try and edit that in the next couple days and post it up, as it's one of the first pages, and I think it'll flow okay without the whole thing being put up. But none-the-less...I'm an idiot. Sorry folks. Please bare with me. Back and Updating Alrighty, I'll make it official, since it could be speculated over...I'm starting posting LotP again. Ninya's got a few colored in advance, and I've got things ready to start updating. It's almost a little embarrassing actually. The art is over 4 years old now, and it shows. I especially think the MASSIVE hair is hilarious. Danger: Elections Ahead Frankly, I'm not getting involved because they both suck. Smoke and mirrors...politics. They're both lying and saying whatever it take to get in, and I've researched it all. It's a JOB for them. It doesn't matter. Things need to change overall in this country, but I've seen and heard people waking up, and that's already happening. But none-the-less, there will be a LOT of cursing and complaining come Tues/Wed, as someone has to lose. Of course the other side will feel they have conquered and everything will be alright now in the country. Like the both of them aren't apart of the whole system that's using the citizens of this country. Hell, what they say on most issues is barely even different.
