Previous | Rant Archives | Next And So It Continues You can guess, based on the lack of comic. I didn't get time, and I'm sorry, but that's the way it goes. I'll be gone for a couple weeks, so I'll see everyone when I get back, though I may post some art or something at some point. We're off to Anime Expo (and Tokyo in Tulsa after), so if you're going to be at either, as with any time before, I'll do a free quick sketch for anyone who comes by and mentions me offering it. (I'll also be doing paid commissions, so make sure to let me know that you read this on the site) Thanks everyone! See you soon. Frustration... This can only be expressed through internet lingo...OMG WTFBBQ! WAI?! I can't believe it's almost midnight of which I still have a 2 hour drive back to my classes so I can get up at 6 am...(so 4 hours of sleep?), I've been busy all through the brief weekend of which I was home before leaving again...and no comic is done to post before I leave...I don't even have the line-art done to post. GYAHHHH!! I'm sorry. Seems no comic this week. I guess I'm not going to be updating until next week, and I think I'm going to miss the week after that too, as I just can't see when I'm going to do another. -_- All I can promise you is that I hate this is much as you all do. I'm really at a point right now that I want to keep drawing, but I just don't have any time, unless I were to drop out of my classes and cancel the Anime Expo trip. =P Well, come next week we'll see. I'll keep you all posted, and maybe I can at least post some random filler stuff. I'll be in touch. Erratic Class Seems I'm still behind. I won't be able to update until next week again. I'm just here so little this month with this class. I'll finish off the the current comic and post the next again. I'm hoping I won't have to miss any, though I honestly never know when it comes to such an erractic schedule this month. Sorry. It's My Party... ....and I'll post an unfinshed comic if I want to! Don't hate me too much. It's after midnight, which means technically it's my birthday, so think of it as me kinda taking the day off as a present to myself. ^^;; Groan, this cold is killing me. I originally got out of A-Kon without picking up a bug, but Ninya got it instead, so I have it now. =P We finally are back home. I have a ton of stuff to do too, including some commissions I got from the convention. Also, I'm still behind on the comic (if you couldn't tell by the unfinished page >.> ) I guess this wasn't the best week to promise two pages, though the cold really had a lot to do with why it didn't happen. I even missed a day of my class from it. Deuce This Week I plan to post a 2nd comic on Wednesday or Thursday this week. (Depends on my schedule) After missing one last week due to the convention and my absence after, I thought I'd do two this week. It's bad enough being slow during a fight scene without missing comics. ;) A-Kon As many of you know Adyon and I attended the anime convention in Dallas last weekend, and we had a lot of fun. It was our first time trying to sell art and even though we were probably in the worst possible spot, (up stairs, in the corner, with a pillar right in front of us preventing a line from forming) we still managed to cover our trip make a little money to put towards our L. A. trip coming up in July. We met a ton of great people, and had a great time! Also I got to stand up for my favorite book serious on the Twilight Panel (a pro vs. con debate of the series)…and btw I kicked ass!! It felt amazing to use logic and rhetoric and to cite sources to defend something I like so much…it was great! (One of the opposing team came to me later and said that I had “restored her faith in humanity” by not acting like a crazed twilighter.) Having to Postpone One Week Well, I wasn't able to finish next week's comic before leaving for A-Kon, but I just realized it didn't matter as I won't be back here to post it anyway, and my site isn't set up to be posted from my laptop. I won't be back until a week from Friday, so it won't be possible to post. Sorry about that. I'll just try and do two the next week. A-Kon This weekend we'll be headed to A-Kon. We'll have some art for sale. I'll likely be doing paid commision sketches as well, but for fans of the comic that stop by, just tell me and I'll do you a simple quick sketch for free. ;) Nightwish Saturday night we went to see Nightwish in concert. We loved it, and they were simply amazing. Annete did beautifully live, so we were pleased. Leah really loved her actually. She thought she her personality was adorable. Not that Tarja wasn't a great singer, but Annete is amazing too, and I actually think she fits with the sound of Nightwish better, especially when her and Marco blend together vocally. I really think they looked hard to find someone who could sing alongside Marco and harmonize well, as that's one of my favorite parts about the way they sound now. Another Semester Past So exhausted. All I have left is a final critique on Tuesday, but pretty much I'm done. Sorry I always have to take off the main comic for finals. At least I could end it on the chapter mark for a couple weeks. This page isn't that much I know, but at least it isn't a full ripoff title page. ^^; Fight Ninya A friend linked us to fight her "Brute". We ended up making Ninya. You can fight her by going here. You don't have to register or anything to do it. It's simply, generate a character and click go. =P Break Before Next Chapter Yes, it's true. The next chapter won't start until May 4th. I'll post Fillers in place of comics on each Monday, but it's crunch time for my classes. I have to turn everything in April 28th, and I have a LOT to do yet, so unless I get some extra time, the comic will be on hold for a couple weeks. I'll update if this changes for some reason, but for now that's the plan. Chapter 3 Closure Well, finally through another chapter. It's like a broken record at this point, but someday I really can't wait to have the time to get through a chapter quicker. Drunk Drivers Suck! I was hit Saturday night while on delivery (I'm a pizza hut driver) by a drunk driver. I was just sitting at the stop light on main street and it was about to turn green when this guy in a huge SUV hit me at like 40 mph and completely destroyed the back of my car! I was freaking out! So I pull out of the intersection to ask Mr. Jack @ss for his insurance information, and the @sshole takes off down the street! This was a hit-and-run from hell! This nice lady pulled over and let me sit with her in her car while she called the cops and I called my boss and Adyon (in that order) to tell them about the wreck. We found a big piece of the guys car and very luckily the cops were able to find the creep and arrest him. It turns out that even unintoxicated it's a felony to do a hit and run with that kind of damage, so we'll have him in our little jail for long enough to properly sue his @ss. P.S. Happy 1st anniversary to us. (April 5th) |
